He is the founder and chief executive of CreditUW, a company offering commercial credit lending expertise to regional, national, and multinational banks. John’s career in commercial credit spans more than 20 years and includes CRE, C&I and margin securities-based financing. While John’s principle focus and passion is in loan portfolio management, he has also distinguished himself by developing expertise at every stage of the lending process. In addition to building trust and personal rapport with borrowers and key third-parties, John has developed processes for the meticulous borrower and asset vetting, bank policy and regulatory compliance (annual reviews, covenant testing), loan cure and workouts, and loan operations. These processes form the basis for training and managing in-house or external talent.

John’s commercial credit lending experience started with JPMorgan, where he spent eleven years and underwent rigorous training. He subsequently held positions of increasing authority at East West Bank and Citi before launching his own business in 2018. He started his career at Grant Thornton.
